Community Connect: Drug Policy, Safe Supply and Harm Reduction

The Mission Overdose Community Action Team (MOCAT) in collaboration with Moms Stop The Harm (MSTH), and support from the city of Mission – Social Development, host Community Connect – an evening of information on the state of the illicit drug poisoning epidemic and conversation on how we as a community can make an impact. The event takes place on November 8 at 6pm at the Clarke Theatre, 33700 Prentis Avenue, Mission and includes a soup supper.

The evening includes Keynote speakers Leslie McBain, a co-founder of MSTH, who lost her only child, Jordan Miller, to a drug overdose in 2014, will speak about MSTH, Safer Supply and Drug Policy. There will be a screening of the video Building Hope: Substance Use in the Trades video project, highlights the stories of four men speaking to their colleagues about their own experiences and how to stay safe.
