I recently attended one of the Unwind and Hangout events organized by the UFV Crochet Club. These ev
ents are held twice a month. The one I attended was on October 18th from 6 pm to 7:30 pm at the Clubhouse in the S building.
As the name suggests, it’s an event where you can unwind like a ball of yarn and hang out with like-minded individuals who like crochet. Yarns, crochet patterns and snacks were provided. The yarns they offered were colourful and the patterns they offered were adorable. I, unfortunately, wasn’t able to make use of those patterns as I am a beginner in crochet. But that’s the very reason I came here – to learn, and the Crochet Club welcomes individuals of all skill levels. Miyako, the leader of the club kindly assisted me and other beginners as we embarked on our crochet journey, which I found very helpful.
They offered various types of chips and chocolates for food and various assortment of juice boxes for drinks.
The yarns of the colour of rainbows, good music and great company made it a perfect evening. I would give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars!!
