About CIVL.ca

CIVL was one of the first campus radio stations in Canada to offer comprehensive and historical archives for our FM programming, with streaming and podcasting beginning in March 2008 through the live.civl.ca archive portal.

While the vast majority of this content is still available for download and streaming at https://studio.civl.ca:8888/podcast/yyyy/mm/dd/hh.mp3 by adjusting the date and time to reflect what hour you want to listen to, our new website will soon reveal a new podcast platform that will be available to stations across Canada, so stay tuned!

Features

The updated www.CIVL.ca still hosts the FVMA page and nominee archives that debuted last year, and also features a Projects page that allows users to read about, listen, watch and learn about many of the unique initiatives the CIVL family has been a part of over the decades.

The Common Room Recording Grant, Jam in Jubilee, Abbotsford Arts Council Arty Awards, our Hushed History of Racism series, the Recording Project, Mini-School journalism and audio content training program, and all of our other Community Radio Funded projects are all featured on this brand new site, alongside our new and improved live stream player, to be followed by our podcast player soon.

Events Calendar and Community Profiles

Finally, the new and improved Community page provides a place for artists, venues, and community groups to register their own profiles with photos, easy access social media links, and any other detailed information for users to engage with. Once profiles are approved, partners can then enter events into our community calendar, which conveniently exports to Google calendar for reminders, and can now serve as a searchable database hub for Fraser Valley community engagement.
